Welcome to Myrtle Beach South Carolina where I am currently trapped for the next four or five days.

There is really a restaurant called the Steak and Shake. I thought they were kidding.

I hope to befriend someone with a car, soon.

you have obviously not traveled much in middle america!

steak and shake is a national chain. You are not forced to have a shake, nor steak. The steak here refers to burgers, btw.

And they do offer salads.

Someone promised me a trip to a waffle house. I want a waffle house mug.

You didn't tell me that there were dunkin donuts at the IAD UA terminals.

I may switch my loyalty to United after my flight (blankets! in coach) and DD.

Hah.

If you succeed in getting waffle house mug, hooray!

I tried for years to score WH stuff for my kids(all big fans, WH was the spot for late-night dates) but was told it was for rewarding staff only! Now a merchandise link on WH website puts you to a hunting-wear purveyor with some very weird stuff.
You may have to swipe a mug, if you don't want camoflage!

Are you a fan of the Krystal hamburger?

let's see, do you want your hashed brown potatoes scattered, smothered, covered, capped, or, hmm, what are my other choices at the waffle house?

I'm not up on krystal burgers (maybe had one in florida eons ago), but i do like my in-and-out burgers, and my whattaburgers.

Funny, I never think of eatting that stuff at home, only on the road. I haven't been to a waffle house in about 12 years...the last one was the marty stuart memorial one by the opry house.

Go on their website!
it'a trip...plus you can figure out how to enter the "I love Waffle House Essay Contest" for next year, and win your mug without committing a misdemeanor.

placing your order for hashed brown potatoes: "scattered" (spread out on the grill), "smothered" (with onions), "covered" (with cheese), "chunked" (with diced ham), "topped" (with chili), "diced" (with diced tomatoes), "peppered" (with jalapeno peppers), "capped" (with mushrooms)"
